"Retired from full time employment, I spend many hours digitizing designs and embroidering projects. Most of my embroideries are "one off", and many of these are bespoke ecclesiastical vestments for clergy, embroidered items for places of worship of all faiths and denominations and a lot of "home dec" items such as bed linen, table linen etc.. Textiles, fabrics & design etc have been hobbies of mine for most of my life. Then, following serious illness I gave up my "real" career in the NHS in the 1980s. I then concentrated on machine knitting, fabric design and teaching, as well as computer aided fabric design for sewing and knitting machine companies worldwide. I became very familiar with many makes and models of sewing machines through my work with these companies, from very basic to the top of the line machines; some plain sewing, others machine embroidery, and loved them all! I now own more than one make and model of sewing/embroidery machine, and use several brands of embroidery software."
