After much heart-searching, I have decided to stop producing Flair magazine (although back issues in print and digital will be available for a while). The magazine is no longer financially viable.
I have met so many wonderful people and have been indebted to others for all the help given to me for eight years, and it has been a great eight years!
I would like to offer you the choice of a:
a) subscription repayment or b) the equivalent number of back issues.
a) Pro rata subscription repayments (minus administration fees for the initial payment) need to be made by BACS, for which we will need your name, address, bank address, sort code and bank account number; and your subscription number or Guild membership number so that we can match you to our records.
b) If you would prefer back issues to complete your collection Flair, which now stops at issue 32, then please let us know which issue numbers you are missing. For example, if you are owed three more magazines as part of your subscription please say which three back issues you would like; and tell us your subscription number or Guild membership number so that we can match you to our records.
Please let us know which option you prefer, by post only, so that my accountant can close down Flair otherwise ongoing costs will keep on mounting. After this, I will no longer be able to make any repayments as the bank account will be closed.
Please write to: Flair Magazine, PO Box 544, Exeter, Devon, EX1 9FD and don't forget to include your full name, the date and your subscription number or Guild membership number. Please be in contact via the PO Box by the end of November 2014.
Overseas and digital subscribers
I have a record of every current customer whether digital or overseas. I have written to you by email informing you of the situation. I will be systemmatically working through and either repaying the subscription pro rata via Paypal, minus the original Paypal fee or uploading back issues to your accounts, depending on the request received. I would like to thank you for your patience in advance as the closing down of Flair Magazine is going to be quite a long process.
I have had an enormous amount of letters in support, for which I thank you all very, very much. It is heartwarming to read them.
It will take quite a long time to fulfil the committment of either repaying subscriptions or sending back issues in the correct manner and I would like to thank you for your patience. I anticipate that it should all be completed by the second week in December.
The website will remain open for a while for those of you who have not collected the free designs yet. Please can you collect any that you would like by going to resources and opening the magazine editions and then download the free designs. I realise that many people haven't taken them immediately on release and so will not be shutting the site down just yet.
I would like to thank each and every one of you for making Flair such a great product, it was a real pleasure.
With best wishes, Liz
